Thank you for your interest in the Clinical Research Volunteer Program hosted by the Department of Radiological Sciences. This is a brand new and exciting program offers the opportunity to Medical Students, International Medical Graduates, BME engineers, or any healthcare profession interested in gaining experience in clinical research and clinical trials.

You will be working closely with one of our well-renowned faculties in the literature search, developing protocols, analyze data, grant/proposal submissions, abstract and paper publications. This program is an excellent opportunity for those thinking of a residency in Radiology.

Each year we offer positions to the best candiates who will be required to commit at least 10 hours/week for a period of 6 or 12 months. Our offices are open from Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM. Some of our events, such as health fairs, occur on weekends, and you are free to attend those as well. We are completely flexible and will work around your schedule.

This is a position with no compensation and we do not sponsor any type of visa.


•             Work closely with a Principal Investigator in the development and initiation of a research protocols

•             Publication of abstracts and papers

•             Understand, interpret and apply clinical research protocols

•             Work in data management and monitoring of human research subjects

•             Construct regulatory documentation, such as protocol narratives, for local Institutional Review Boards

•             Learn about the various types of Radiology Sub-Specialties and imaging offered at UC Irvine

•             Monitoring for Clinical Trials and partnerships projects

•             Attend local health fairs to share your knowledge of clinical trials
