Dr. James Shi earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he also completed a diagnostic radiology residency and an abdominal imaging fellowship as chief fellow. After training, he joined the faculty at Loma Linda University. There, he mentored residents, oversaw quality improvement projects, and developed a body curriculum.
Dr. Shi is excited to now join UC Irvine Medical Center. His clinical interests include advanced MRI, hepatic, and renal imaging, as well as trainee mentorship and education.
