Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (NMMI) is a field of Medicine that utilizes a small amount of radioactive material (radiotracers) to assess function of various organs and treat a wide range of disorders.

These radiotracers metabolize in the body and can be displayed as an image as well as a quantitative data of the organ function.

Nuclear Medicine imaging is metabolic and functional based, and thus that can identify disease in the early stages and provide information that often cannot be obtained using other imaging such as CT or MRI.
