Dr. Anderanik Tomasian received his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency as well as his Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. He joined USC in 2015 as faculty in the MSK division where he served as Program Director for the Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention fellowship as well as the Medical Director of MRI.
Dr. Tomasian’s main clinical and research interests are in minimally invasive musculoskeletal oncologic interventions, particularly thermal ablations and cementation as well as oncologic imaging. Dr. Tomasian has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) and the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR). He also serves as a reviewer for several journals and is an active member of various scientific and educational committees for national and international radiological societies.
He joins UC Irvine as an Associate Professor of Radiological Sciences and will serve as Program Director for the MSK fellowship.
