Dr. Hakan Sahin earned his medical degree from Ankara University and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Akdeniz University. He is a board-certified radiologist subspecialized in cardiothoracic imaging (National Jewish Health), interventional radiology (University of Washington), and MRI (University of Texas SW).

Dr. Sahin joins UCI in 2021 as an associate professor. His clinical and research interests include imaging of diffuse lung diseases, lung cancer screening, and imaging manifestations of metabolic syndrome in the cardiovascular system. He is also board-certified in cardiovascular CT and cardiovascular MRI. He enjoys teaching trainees, consulting referring physicians, and guiding patients.
